Cases can be made for a handful of these but the well bred Marfooq is open to plenty of improvement at this trip and Ed Dunlop's charge is just preferred over Pantone, Young Mr Grace and Tiber Tiger. Marfooq starts off in handicaps today off a very lenient looking mark of 79 and, as he cost 320,000 guineas as a yearling, his connections will be keen for him to start paying his way now. A move for him should be noted. Pantone is an obvious threat after winning a decent fillies handicap at Newmarket last time. She is progressing well this season and should not be too far away. Young Mr Grace can be given a chance on the best of his form but his latest outing when finishing down the field took a bit of a knock when Override was a well beaten favourite at Lingfield yesterday, and he appears to place claims at best. Tiber Tiber is another to consider though after an improved performance last time.
