    Verdict

Intavac Boy is given a narrow vote in a tricky finale, Halla San and Melvino could be the main rivals. Chris Thorton has been very quiet this season but Intavac Boy provided a welcome success last time out when gamely beating Shekan Star. The runner up ran well at Pontefract on Sunday and so the form could be quite decent in the context of this event. Halla San ended last campaign with a couple of victories and still looks on a fair mark. The ground is a bit of a concern but he should still be involved in the finish. Melvino makes a quick return to the track following a good run at Pontefract and comes out ahead of the selection on a line through Shekan Star. However Intavac Boy appears to be on the upgrade and we expect him to come out on top this afternoon
