After a narrow defeat at Navan in April, Brick By Brick went off favourite for a Curragh maiden a month later but could only finish fourth. He's been given a bit of time to mature but may not be up to conceding weight to the filly DAMSELFY. Joseph O'Brien's charge has been unlucky not to have lost her maiden tag and her latest effort at Down Royal, where she didn't get the clearest of runs, points to her chances and she holds My Silver Nails on that performance. Golden Spell caught the eye when third behind India Rain at Cork and with further progress virtually guaranteed has to be considered a real threat.
