Verdict

He's Got Rhythm won this from the same mark a year ago but his subsequent efforts don't hold out much hope of a repeat and he was behind Strait Of Zanzibar at Down Royal last time. The latter doesn't win very often and is 5lb higher but Barack is 1lb lower than his last success at Leopardstown in September. Adroit made a promising debut at Fairyhouse and had little trouble going one better at Gowran. She makes her handicap debut over this longer trip but is progressing nicely and should be capable of better. Three Bells scored here in August and had dropped to a lower mark when gaining a very easy success at Sligo last month but the assessor has had revenge with an 11lb rise in the weights. SRETAW hasn't had much experience for her age but completed a double in the autumn and has bounced back to form on her two latest starts so she looks the one to be on here.
