A decent finale to the Bellewstown Festival but STEPS TO FREEDOM was so impressive on his racecourse debut at Tipperary that Gordon Elliott's youngster gets the nod over some promising rivals. Winning point-to-pointer Viking Visitor stormed to victory over Gran Torino in a big field at Gowran and looks a fine prospect for Kieran Purcell while Bullock Harbour lost little in defeat to Double Double at Leopardstown after beating Mickelson at Punchestown. Owns Delight found two miles too short at Tipperary after scoring over an extra quarter mile at Downpatrick though he has a long absence to overcome.
