In depth

Verdict

In the absence of worthwhile opposition, it should pay to stick with RIDGEWAY SAPPHIRE in a low-key finale. She left previous form behind when landing a handicap at Brighton earlier this month and seems to run her best races on a turning track. Flaxen Lake hasn't had much time to recover from a fourth at Chepstow on Monday but is probably still the pick of Milton Bradley's three entries and preferred to John Weymes' pair Welcome Approach and Almaty Express. Best One is well treated on his old form but it's a long time since he showed that.
