    Verdict

A race of imponderables and Katchit, Spiritwind and Wulimaster are the three who make most appeal and Katchit is offered as the vote. Kalanisi was capable of handling soft ground as a juvenile and while Katchit has had plenty of chances, he ran well enough at Kempton to suggest he was capable of winning a race. Spiritwind is watched in the market. The son of In The Wings is bred to get further than todays trip and could be of serious interest if the faces are backing him. Wulimaster was a one-time Derby entrant. Unfancied on his first racecourse start as a juvenile, he ran accordingly on the day...with a winter on his back, the market is watched for further information. Salesin hails from a yard that look have to plenty of useful maidens in their string. The chestnut showed a modicum of ability on his first juvenile start on a soft surface but failed to build upon it first time up as a three-year-old. Star of Desert was outpaced over a mile at Newbury and should have come on for the run. Katchit has the form on the board but is hardly the most attractive of betting options this afternoon.
