Verdict

Roger Charlton's newcomer Oystermouth and the once raced Millsini have to be respected but it is hard to get away from Whiskey Junction, who should take plenty of beating. The selection did not progress as much as may have been anticipated as a two-year-old last term but again showed promise on his reappearance at Kempton earlier this month and a reproduction of the form shown that day should suffice in this weak contest. Nawayea has shown signs of ability but has 28lbs to find with the selection judged by official BHB ratings, while Chingford looks to have regressed noticeably from two to three. The Carpet Man has given little real sign of encouragement so far and a safer option looks to be Whiskey Junction, who is hard to oppose.
