Verdict

Hope Is High is 2lb higher than when third in last year’s Summer Staying Final having won over a shorter trip here recently. Charlie D has been in winning form over 2m lately and Gemini scored over the same trip in a claimer at Catterick. But Filament Of Gold beat both Khismet and Lady Natasha when successful over 1m5f here last time and SINGING THE BLUES (NAP) went close over the same distance here before finishing fourth in a higher grade contest at Salisbury. An apprentice’s allowance could give Rod Millman’s charge the edge in this and he gets the vote to reverse running here in June with Sufi. The latter has the beating of Victoriano while The Detainee has a bit to find with the selection.
