Harrison Point can make the most of this step up in trip to land a competitive handicap, with Compton Eclipse, Landescent, and Honeystreet expected to run well. John Gosden must have been pleased with the effort shown by Harrison Point at York last week when a first time visor was instrumental in seeing him only denied a short-head by King Harson. That was only his fourth ever start, and was against experienced handicappers, so there must be more to come from the son of Nuryev, successful on his second racecourse appearance at Windsor earlier in the season. The runner-up Tip The Dip has franked the form since, and with Frankie Dettori on board for the first time, and an extra furlong to travel, Harrison Point can defy joint topweight. Compton Eclipse, also on 9st-7lb, needs to be produced at just the right time and will need things to fall into place, but is very capable of winning as he has proved twice already this season. Honeystreet has more to do than when scoring over the course and distance in selling company in June, while Lark In The Park had the run of the race when landing a class F here two weeks ago. Tintawn Gold ran her best race when caught near the finish at Folkestone but is another who may struggle here. Landescent has dropped to a more favourable mark and will appreciate the drop back in trip, but does not have the class of the selection who has more scope than most. Take Frankie Dettori to drive the 'Point' home here.
