Verdict
FILLIGREE is preferred to Artisitic License and The Tatling in a competitive sprint. Rae Guest's filly is closely matched with Desperate Dan on their running over course and distance in June but she has shown improved form since then; particularly when a good fourth in a competitive race at Ripon. That form is rock solid, this is easier and she can gain a deserved success. Artistic License won cosily at Goodwood and has claims from a career high mark having gone well at this track in the past but she will need everything to fall right if held up once again. The Tatling has been enjoying an Indian Summer but will need a strong pace and the gaps to appear if he's to get up in time and there may not be that much competition for the lead here. Bobbie Soxer was held up when chasing home a good one at Nottingham whilst Desperate Dan, Kyllachy Storm and Doc Jones tend to race prominently without trailblazing. The race could pan out well for Filligree who may not need to improve to win.
