    Verdict

A disappointing turn out of just three here, and Prince Holing can follow up his Salisbury victory, with Annambo booked for second ahead of Gondolin. Prince Holing came up against a smart filly when beaten by Quiet Storm at the Wiltshire venue before returning there for a comfortable success over Alaared. Quiet Storm was down to run at the five-day stage so connections of Prince Holing no doubt breathed a sigh of relief when she was pulled out and can feel pretty confident here. Annambo led until headed two furlongs out against Shanty Star at Royal Ascot, and although this assignment is not as tough, the drop back in trip is a worry. As for Gondolin, he went out like a light in the King George V Handicap at the Royal meeting after running much too freely. A bit of restraint and he may make a race of it without being good enough to stop Prince Holing from following up.
