Binocular showed plenty of promise on her debut and is taken to land this contest from Shake On It and Gunner's View. The Barry Hills trained colt finished fourth in a Haydock maiden last September won by the 84 rated Lonqquan. The second and third home have both run well since so the form is rock solid. He didn't go off unfancied for that contest and we can expect plenty of improvement. Shake On It ended last campaign with a an excellent second to Porcelain. That winner was thought good enough to contest a listed event next time and so Eve Johnson Houghton's filly has to rate a big danger. Gunner's View showed plenty of ability in two juvenile outings and could run into a place here at decent odds. Shine And Rise and Valley Observer are two others worth a mention, but Binocular, from last year's winning stable, just gets the verdict this afternoon.
