Verdict
COMPTON TARGET won on his handicap debut at Kempton last month and a 5lb claimer negates a rise in the weights. He just got the better of Backtrade on that occasion but is taken to confirm the form as the latter is often his own worst enemy by refusing to settle in his races. Three maiden winners oppose and the best of those could be Dishy Guru, who beat a subsequent winner at Lingfield last time, though Uncle Roger scored over C&D in July and makes more appeal than recent Fibresand winner Whisky Bravo. Marygold looks pretty exposed and Princess Banu is out of sorts.
