        Verdict

        Land Ahoy, Abunai and Star Strider are three against the field in this maiden and the vote is given to Land Ahoy. The selection was a good third behind Sans Reward last time out, that form has since been franked and with improvement likely he will be hard to beat. Abunai rates the main danger on his latest second behind Racing Stripes but he has already given the impression he would be sen to better effect over a longer trip and for that reason he is opposed. Star Strider is another with place claims on his latest fourth behind Southandwest but the suspicion is he will be seen to better effect once handicapped. Of the remainder Indian Song has shown enough in two runs to date to suggest he can win a race of this nature and should be watched in the market but in a trappy affair where the market may well tell all for the winner we return to Land Ahoy.
