In depth

Verdict

A competitive sprint handicap in which all can be given a decent shout. Outrage is forgiven his latest effort after a slow start ruined his chance but makes plenty of appeal on previous efforts. Newyorkstateofmind bounced back nicely last time but looks the sort who needs things to go his way and BUY ME BACK makes greater appeal now he's got his head in front on turf for the first time after a cosy Windsor success. He looks on the upgrade and can hopefully take another step forward off what still rates an acceptable mark. Vandad has been knocking on the door since joining Michael Attwater and merits respect in receipt of weight all round.
