Lethal Lunch earned top billing for this with a victory at Ascot but didn't make the expected progress in nurseries. He finished five lengths behind ROCK OF ESTONIA when both made their debuts at Windsor last April and the winner only had one further run when scrambling home here a year ago. It's difficult to know what to make of Charlie Hills' colt but he has enormous scope and gets the nod. Airshow ended the last campaign with a victory in a Newbury nursery then reappeared to score at Kempton so he's obviously on the upgrade and is greatly respected. Tricksy Spirit was beaten almost three lengths in that latter contest and looks held but Bustam would have gone close at Newcastle but for his rider dropping his whip at a crucial stage.
