Verdict

A decent event for a claimer, but Cyclone Connie, who proved a major disappointment last time, when returning from a break, looks to have plenty on her plate, giving weight to some useful performers. Tumbleweed Charm has several decent efforts to his name, noteably when close-up behind Nemo Fugat in a conditions event at the Craven Meeting. He wears blinkers for the first time today, in an effort to sharpen him up, but it remains to be seen whether he is as effective over this shorter trip. However, Proud Native looks the one to be with. He will appreciate this drop in grade, having faced some stiff tasks of late and can make the most of the weight he receives off the three-year-old.
