      Verdict

      A wide open contest and the market may prove the best guide as to what is expected from the well bred newcomers. Makila King and Bouncer are sure to have there supporters with there stables two year olds in good form but we prefer to take a chance on Scotch N Dry. The colt from the Mick Channon yard is related on the dam side to the formerly smart sprinter Don't Worry Me. He is reportedly well forward and with his stable in form he will be hard to beat. Makila King is another well bred sort but he is bred to need further and he may do better in time. Bouncer is a colt by Night Shift from a top yard and he is worth a cautionary look in the market. Scorching is another from a shrewd yard and is worth keeping an eye on in the market. Sahara Scirocco is the only one with experience but she showed very little and she will have improved significantly to score.
