tracked leader, led over 1f out, ridden and ran on
close in last place, ridden to challenge inside final furlong, unable to quicken towards finish
led, ridden when headed over 1f out, kept on one pace
A disappointing numerical turnout although all look progressive and represent top yards. A tactical battle seems assured but SOLIDARITY looked to be crying out for a mile and a half when runner-up last time at Pontefract and it will be interesting to see if he sets out to make all. Opera Fan looked to be idling in front when scoring at Beverley and could be better than the bare form although he'll need to be as this represents a rise in grade. Good Value improved dramatically on all previous efforts to score with plenty in hand on the all-weather last time and looks a potentially big improver but let's see him repeat that level on Turf before rowing in.
