In depth

Verdict

Cornus is a sporting selection in a wide open handicap, Bahamian Ballet and Cesar Manrique may provide most danger. Jamie Osborne's colt returned from a seven month break last month and put in two decent enough efforts in competitive races. He could now be spot on for this and as he won off a mark of 90 this time last year he does look on a very tempting mark . Cesar Manrique has been a model of consistency in similar company this season and although he could do with dropping a couple of pounds, he should still be in the shake up. Bahamian Ballet has to be respected on a recent victory at Windsor and Highland Cascade is also running well at present. However Cornus does look to have been given a chance by the handicapper and he could spring a surprise.
