        Verdict

        Kalandara has to the the pick in this fascinating maiden, Kerriemuir Lass and Silken Act could be the ones to fight out the places. Sir Michael Stoute's filly is steadily getting the hang of things and a recent second behind the 82 rated Thumpers Dream at Chester is easily the strongest form on show. She is open to much more improvement and can land this before moving on to better things. Kerriemuir Lass has had plenty of chances this season and deserves to get her head in front. If for any reason the selection doesn't fire on all cylinders; today, Michael Jarvis's filly could be the one to benefit. Silken Act has solid maiden form and ran well in a strong handicap last time, she will be hard to keep out of the first three. The rest make very little appeal and so in what is possibly a three horse war Kalandara looks the one to be on.
