YAGAN looks to have a good opportunity to follow last week’s victory at Yarmouth with another success. This longer trip should suit Sir Mark Prescott’s charge and he can defy a penalty up against such weak opposition. Mandm makes his handicap debut having placed in selling company in all three outings so far but Gyenyame and Cloudy Rose have yet to threaten and the latter is fitted with headgear for the first time.
Gyenyame 80-1 (9-5) Mid-division, ridden and weakened over 3f out, 14th of 17, 20 1/4l behind Simons King (9-5) at Nottingham 1m mdn stks (5) sft in Nov.
Cloudy Rose 33-1 (8-12) Held up and behind, plugged on final furlong, never nearer, 7th of 12, 11 3/4l behind Bobby Kennedy (8-6) at Bath 1m 4f hcp (6) gd in May.
Mandm 80-1 (8-7) Held up in mid-division, ridden along over 3f out, stayed on well to go second inside final furlong, 2nd of 13, 2 1/2l behind Competition (10-0) at Leicester 1m 4f stks (5) gs in May.
Yagan (IRE) 5-2 (8-12) Made all, ridden entering final furlong, ran on, won at Yarmouth 1m 3f hcp (6) gd in May beating King Viktor (9-13) by 1 1/4l, 7 ran.
