In depth

Verdict

A typically humdrum Bath sprint handicap with plenty of chances but PICKET LINE has already scored this term for Timmy Murphy when just inching out Darma at Kempton in April. The runner-up has boosted the form by winning at Nottingham this week whilst the selection has followed up with a couple of useful runs, most notably when a fine fifth of 21, beaten under two lengths, in a competitive Ascot handicap won by Normandy Barriere. He runs off an unchanged mark and a similar performance would see him very much in the mix. Summersault failed to fire when well fancied at Goodwood latest but won't be the last to find the Sussex track's contours hard to fathom. He's lightly-raced and better judged on a comfortable Windsor success on his previous start. Dual course winner and last-time out scorer Edged Out is also to be noted along with course and distance winner Ginzan and topweighted Dominium.
