ROCK OF FAME was desperately unlucky when well backed at Windsor. She missed the break and then had to wait for a gap to appear when beginning her effort. In the end, she was only beaten a short-head and she’ll be 6lb higher in the weights from next week. Marie's Gem finished second over this trip at Redcar but may have to wait a bit longer for a first victory. Southern Dancer is eased in grade but hasn’t so far built on a debut third at Sandown while Pilot Wings appears an all-weather specialist.
