In depth

Verdict

Walter Swinburn's horses have been improving with racing this season and there is every possibility that Aimee Vibert can improve enough to beat these with Hawridge King and Velvet Waters rated the best of the rest. The last mentioned made an encouraging reappearance at Yarmouth last month and has to be respected on that evidence but he does not win very often and may be booked for a place at best. Gallego has yet to prove that he truly stays this far, while Jakarmi now looks to be a shade high in the weights. Voice Mail is on a long losing sequence, while Umlilo is hard to evaluate on his first start in a handicap. Montjeu Baby is better than his recent run at Lingfield would suggest although more solid claims are probably held by the consistent Hawridge King. Aimee Vibert could well be open to more improvement than most of these though and she gets the vote.
