Sharp Lookout and Protected have sufficiently useful maiden form to be of interest despite heading the weights, although there must be a slight concern about the former's readiness after a 216-day break. Something was obviously very wrong with Jelly Fish when tailed off on his Brighton reappearance after being supported into favouritism. Clearly better than that, hopefully he can put that run behind him and will contend if doing so. Castle Combe should also deliver a sound account but is probably where the handicapper wishes him to be and SHERSTON is preferred in an interesting contest. He has yet to really build on the promise of his juvenile form but did not perform too badly at Carlisle just five days ago and maybe the application of first-time blinkers can do the trick off a tempting mark for his in-form yard.
