    Verdict

Halogen had fellow C&D winner Rapid Heat Lad well behind when successful here in August and is probably back in the right grade after coming unstuck at Market Rasen last time. But he is going to struggle to give 14lb to TIDAL WAY, who was only beaten a length by the more experienced Spanish Fork on his hurdling debut at Stratford last month. Charlie Longsdon's grey, a decent handicapper on the Flat, will know more today. Golden Jubilee has also won on the level and it will be a surprise if Nigel Twiston-Davies can't find a race for him in the near future.
