In depth

Verdict

Barrichello ran in the Scottish Champion Hurdle last season so there’s no doubting that Donald McCain’s inmate has a touch of class about him but HARPER’S BROOK has proven form on a testing surface and that’s enough to suggest him as a more likelier sort on this occasion. Sir Psycho hasn’t been seen since running in the Greatwood Hurdle back in 2020 and the market will be the best guide as to expectations. Wild Romance also returns from a similarly long lay-off having placed in a Grade 2 contest at Cheltenham when last in action while Ubetya handles the conditions and makes most appeal of the remainder.
