Verdict

Methodtothemadness won on his third visit to the track last month but has gone up 7lb and is upped in grade. Hidden Commander may have found the trip too short when third on his reappearance at Sedgefield but Animal’s best form so far has come over shorter distances. Great D'Ange was only beaten a short-head at Worcester in June having won earlier at Warwick but the unexposed KAYF HERNANDO (NAP) made a winning start over hurdles around this time last year and it’s not beyond the realms of possibility that he could do the same now tackling fences.
