In depth

Verdict

Marvellous Monty ran the in-form Annie Alainn to a length at Uttoxeter last week and a repeat off that effort, racing off the same mark, would see her bang in the firing-line. Lyme Park ran her best race so far when second at Towcester, though has been raised another couple of pounds. Donald McCain also runs the disappointing Katie's Hen but Miss Mash is more interesting having shown a bit more recently when third at Uttoxeter. KASPIAN TERN made eye-catching late headway when sixth at Towcester last month. She may just be a slow learner and looks well treated on her handicap debut.
