In depth

Verdict

The King Of May has been a bit disappointing since a promising seasonal reappearance at Wetherby in November and Heartbreak Kid has failed to make the anticipated progress this term while February’s Doncaster winner On Springs generally doesn’t handle any give in the ground. Taste The Fear will need a strong gallop as he usually races over further but he’s in good form and Blue Hawaii still has untapped potential over fences with Allo Allo even less exposed. Yggdrasil is a course and distance winner who has had a couple of confidence-boosters over hurdles recently but useful hurdler ZESTFUL HOPE gets the nod as he will have learned plenty from his third at Ludlow.
