In depth

Verdict

Black Sam was doing her best work at the finish at Newbury on her debut and Timeforfirth was beaten only two lengths on her introduction at Wetherby. But both have to give weight to younger rival SAINTE LADYLIME and the latter can take advantage having finished third at Newcastle earlier this month. Margaret's Rose won a point-to-point in January and makes her debut under Rules while Sunshine Corner and Bling Noir make most appeal of the newcomers.
