In depth

Verdict

Prince Bere, Silver Jaro and Chess Board are three against the field in this competitive opener and the vote is given to Chess Board. The selection would have won easily on his debut but for unshipping his rider at the last, he is sure to have learnt from the experience wont mind the ground and with his yard in form he will be hard to beat. Prince Bere rates the main danger on his latest third behind Ever Special but that form has since been let down and he looks opposable on that basis. Silver Jaro is another that could go well he was a fair sort on the flat and with his yard in form hew should be noted in the market. Of the remainder Princess Toto showed promise on her debut and is sure to improve but may be seen to better effect over a longer trip in time and for the winner we return to Chess Board.
