In depth

Verdict

Deadly Move never looked like winning when favourite at Uttoxeter last month and finished behind Wade Harper – he is now 0-14 under Rules. The step up in trip is a worry for novice Bold Duke but Court Dismissed has turned a corner and defied market expectations when following up a Fakenham win at Worcester. Don Franco beat Shaiyzar at Perth in May and, like Mister Don, is a strong stayer, though a little one-paced. JACK SNIPE has gone up 17lb after back-to-back wins at Worcester and Newton Abbot but is starting to look a useful addition to the chasing ranks and is almost certainly still improving whereas Dursey Sound appears to be moving in the opposite direction.
