In depth

Verdict

Jodie Hughes is the regular partner of SYMPHONY OF PEARLS though wasn't on board when Dai Burchell's mare gained her first success at Stratford earlier this month. A 5lb rise doesn't look enough to prevent a quick double. Zarliman has been beaten a very long way on all four starts over timber but has improved on the all-weather this winter and scored on his latest start at Kempton in January. Eco Warrior pulled up twice over fences before a much better run when reverting to hurdles at Fontwell where he would have gone much closer but for a bad mistake at the second last. Guaracha landed a minor handicap on heavy going at Plumpton but has run poorly in two subsequent starts including over fences at Stratford last time. Bell Weir has performed at a much higher level than this and dropped to his lowest ever mark so any return to reasonable form could see him in the shake-up.
