In depth

Verdict

Christy Beamish, Upham Lord and Silver Castle look the threde to concentrate on in this hunter chase and the vote is given to Upham Lord. The selection is a fair sort in this sphere and was a fair fourth last time out behind Sleeping Night. This looks much easier and with this faster surface sure to suit he will be hard to beat. Christy Beamish rates the main danger as he was very impressive in point-to-points last season. However he lacks experuiance of regulation fences and at likely odds he looks worth taking on. Silver Castle is another worthy of respect on his best point form but he has a 277 day abscence to overcome and he may just need the run. Of the remainder Mullensgrove would have definite place claims on his best form but he was very disapointing last time out for no apparent reason and for the winner we return to Upham Lord.
