Verdict

Sharp Jack is chosen to run for us this afternoon though none are dismissed with any confidence. He was agonisingly beaten by the minimum over course and distance on his penultimate start with Desperate Dex just over 6 lengths back in fourth. The selection has posted another respectable effort since then and appears guaranteed to give his running. Keepatem hasn't won since 2004 but is better than he showed last time and has recent form to his name that gives him claims in a race of this nature. Florida Dream has run well in a couple of the cross country races at Cheltenham and posted a decent effort at Sandown last time. Ironside is useful on his day but is hit and miss and up in the weights following his win in the Sussex National. Finzi, a dour stayer at his best, has been off colour lately whilst Tomillielou has a little to prove in this company. An open heat in which Sharp Jack has solid claims.
