Verdict

Doc Carver showed promise on his hurdling debut here and then chased home an improver at Leicester. He pulled clear of the remainder and any more progress would put him in the firing line. FIN AND GAME made an immediate impact over timber, having only to be pushed out to score by nine lengths at Wetherby. The second and third were bumper winners so the form is probably decent and he may be worth backing to defy his penalty against Article Fifty, who appeared to have every chance when only third at Southwell last month but is probably capable of better with that run under his belt. Trigger Nichol looks held on collateral form.
