In depth

Verdict

Val Mome was sold for 17,000gns to Donald McCain after winning between the flags in May and is worth noting for future reference. My Brother, a winner on the Flat, found only one too good when favourite on his hurdles bow at Perth last month but PASSING CALL wasn’t winning out of turn at Worcester last month and she can go on to better things now that she’s got her head in front. Fort Jefferson beat a subsequent dual winner here in May before winning twice on the Flat. He had no chance in the Queen Alexandra Stakes at Ascot last time but should make his presence felt back here.
