Verdict

Folie A Deux will be fancied to gain due reward for some consistent performances but FAVERSHAM is selected with Sea Robber amongst potential dangers. Connections have resorted to cheekpieces in an attempt to gain that elusive success following a string of placed efforts. He was below par at Towcester last time out but that's forgivable and he could bounce back. Faversham won nicely at this track over hurdles in November and has performed consistently since but appears held by the handicapper. He switches to the larger obstacles and has been found a weak race in which to start off at a track where his yard does well. Sea Robber should be more competitive in handicap company and cannot be written off after just one start over fences but Lanos has yet to shine in the opportunities that have come his way. Troodos Jet could go close if improving on his Uttoxeter third but we prefer the claims of Faversham.
