In depth

Verdict

Gordon Elliott is represented by Clarcam, who makes his racecourse debut, and Moss Street, whose two runs so far over timber have given little encouragement. Jan Van Eyck, who had been in cracking form on the Flat during the summer, showed a glimmer of ability on his hurdling debut at Listowel though he'll need to jump better. He easily has the beating of Haverstock on that run but the likely winner here is NOBLE INN. Willie Mullins' charge is likely to do better over further in time but his second in a handicap at Chantilly in June suggests he's another potentially useful recruit from France.
