CASTLE NORTH travelled well throughout over slightly shorter here in May though in the end had a struggle to pass Pakens Rock, who was conceding 8lb and has been well beaten subsequently. There should be more to come from Willie Mullins' charge who gets the nod. Soldier At War landed a Sligo maiden in April but hasn't made the expected progress and was well beaten when third at Roscommon over this trip a couple of weeks ago. Generator City was only beaten 5l in that Sligo event and has a decent weight pull here so can reverse the places but Summer Hill was a long way behind the selection here in May. Tildas Icon hasn't shown enough to merit consideration.
Castle North (IRE) 4-1 (11-4) Raced a bit keen in mid-division on inner, 8th from halfway, switched to outer and took closer order from 3 out, 3rd from next, pushed along to challenge in 2nd from last and soon ridden, kept on best to lead close home, won at Ballinrobe 2m 4f mdn gd in May beating Pakens Rock (11-12) by 1/2l, 15 ran.
Soldier At War (GER) 13-2 (10-10) Tracked leaders, ridden in 4th 3 out, moderate 4th next, went moderate 3rd before last, kept on one pace, 3rd of 11, 12 1/2l behind Everybreathyoutake (11-3) at Roscommon 2m 5f gd in Jul.
Generator City (IRE) 7-1 (11-4) A little keen, tracked leaders, slight mistake 3 out, soon pushed along and no impression, one pace, disqualified from 5th, rider failed to weigh in, 5th of 8, dist behind Stacks Mountain (11-4) at Tipperary 3m mdn gd in May.
Summer Hill (IRE) 5-1 (11-1) Raced in 6th, slight mistake 2nd, pushed along before 2 out and no extra entering straight, weakened, 6th of 7, dist behind Trendsetter (9-11) at Sligo 2m 4f hcp gf in Jul.
Tildas Icon (IRE) 33-1 (10-12) Held up in rear, detached and pushed along halfway, no extra 2 out, tailed off, 8th of 9, dist behind Belle West (10-0) at Sligo 2m hcp gd in Jul.
