Verdict

Bob Le Beau, runner-up on fast going at Down Royal last month, started odds-on to go one better at Limerick but ran a shocker. He'll need to bounce back in what looks a strong maiden in which SPOT FINE is handed the vote. He showed his liking for this surface when narrowly beaten by Fairview Star at Cork where he was only headed close home. Phillys Fancy has plenty of potential and made a very promising start over timber behind Tangled Web here in May while Lightening Stricks has been going well on the Flat and has to be of interest in this company. Well Read Man hasn't been seen since making a winning bumper debut on soft ground at Punchestown in May last year but that's rarely a problem for one of Willie Mullins so he's an obvious threat.
