A nice prize has attracted a competitive field. Joseph O'Brien won the race a year ago and FARON (NAP) looks an ideal type for the race. An easy Kilbeggan maiden winner in April, he wasn't right when pulled up next time but bounced back to beat what looked a strong field at Sligo and makes his handicap debut from a fair mark. The latter remark also applies to Sheishybrid, a comfortable Cork maiden winner before a fine run on the Flat at Tramore. Just Jacob is an obvious threat on his hat-trick bid and looked to have a bit in hand at Sligo while As Tears Go By beat Baron Wild five lengths in a Sligo maiden but the latter will be 11lb better off.
