Verdict

CALDWELL DIAMOND, runner-up over hurdles at Gowran, had a battle with Old Bill Barley at Kilbeggan last month and only succumbed close home. He can go one better though Khadaash made a very solid start at Clonmel in September and may not have enjoyed the travelling when running poorly at Hexham. Land Afar pulled up over hurdles at Ayr in January but did much better in a Cork bumper last month while Itso Vango will have come on for a reasonable debut at Thurles in March.
