Verdict

Dual novice winner Calva D'Auge will likely prove popular representing Paul Nicholls’ yard and handicapping for the first time. Mcgowan's Pass won over track and trip at the start of the year though found one too good off today’s mark in a couple of subsequent outings and GOOBINATOR looks more favourably handicapped. The latter ran well enough for fourth on his handicap debut at Chepstow earlier this month, with Hasankey behind, and should be sharper today for Donald McCain’s in-form yard. Saint Freule has won over fences since last seen over timber and is preferred to stablemate Faire Part Sivola but Pammi looks high enough in the weights.
