Young Lochinvar and Bricks And Porter head over from Ireland for their respective trainers and although both are respected as they won't have been sent over without a chance, neither have shown sparkling form of late. LAKEMAN will appreciate the testing ground and was just a head behind Osgood here last time out. Although he doesn't strike the top notes often enough to be confident, we tentatively side with Lakeman to land the honours. Lordship has won twice on soft ground here and put in a better effort from a fairly assessed mark at Leicester last time. He looks realistically weighted to challenge here. Red Skipper won over course and distance in July and some runs over greater trips in hurdles contests recently may have helped his stamina which could be crucial racing with these conditions. Pokfulham should be included in calculations for the frame places but Lakeman gets the vote to win.
