Today's shorter trip and the soft ground may prove problematic for Hunting Tower after scoring over 2m at Newcastle last month. First Rock was less than a length behind him on that occasion, but has since been well beaten by another of today's rivals in River Dragon. The latter also won at Newcastle recently with LADY BLUESKY, who was having only her second start back from a lay-off, back in third. She's fancied to reverse running today as the eight-year-old won the previous race at this meeting last year off a 1lb lower mark and she can round off what could be a very successful day for Alistair Whillans' yard.
