Jim Barclay's Hosanna ran much better at Musselburgh last week when out of the handicap and he has to be respected racing off his proper mark today but he may have been flattered by his run last time and a safer option looks to be MR LU, who gets the vote ahead of Optical Illusion. Richard Fahey's gelding was well held on his reappearance at Carlisle on Monday but is interesting that he is turned out again so quickly and he has to be of interest for his in-form trainer. Jord has been well beaten in recent starts on the Polytrack and a bigger threat may come from Lee Smyth's King's Jester, who has been performing better at Wolverhampton of late and he could be interesting back on turf but is held by the selection on running here in October. Stable companion Obe Brave is capable but inconsistent, while Richard Fahey's Whatyouwoodwishfor has didappointed since returned to the turf of late. The vote then goes the way of Jim Goldie's Mr Lu, who has peformed well inboth starts this season and looks to have been found a suitable opportunity to open his account for the season.
